CM TROPHY FOOTBALL GAMES 2025

CM Trophy Games 2025 was conducted at St. John’s College, Tirunelveli. Forty-two teams from different schools participated, and our team of 15 students bagged third place.

CM TROPHY BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

CM Trophy Basketball Tournament – SDAT organised a District Level Competition for different schools. Kings School participated in the competition and played against Chinmaya Vidyalaya and St. Xavier’s, winning the match. We then played against SDAT in the semifinal and lost the match. Jayendra and Kings played for the third and fourth positions, and we secured the fourth position.

INDEPENDENCE DAY FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

Independence Day Football Tournament was held on 15th and 16th August at the hostel ground, Nagercoil. The U-11 Football Team from KINGS participated in the tournament and won the first match against Carmel School, Nagercoil with a score of 5–1 and qualified for the finals.

In the final, we played against Stadium FC and lost the match with a score of 0–1, finishing the tournament as runner-up.

Aaron Smith of Class V and Saravanan from Class VI bagged the Best Player award.

CBSE SOUTH ZONE SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION

About 254 schools with 1,750 students from all over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Hyderabad, Pondicherry, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands participated in the CBSE South Zone Swimming Competition held at Nava Bharath International School, Coimbatore, between 26–30 August. Ten students from Kings School participated in this competition.

Amala Christy of Grade IX (Under 17) participated in the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 50m butterfly, 100m butterfly, and 200m butterfly. She competed in all the heats and was selected for the finals. She was placed in the fourth position in the finals.

Charvi Sarayu of Grade VIII (Under 14 category) participated in the 50m freestyle, 50m backstroke, 100m backstroke, and 4 × 100m freestyle relay. She won the gold medal in 50m freestyle and 4 × 100m freestyle relay. Charvi is now eligible to play the National Level Swimming Championship to be held at Odisha in the month of September 2025.

Jovanna Pearls Oviya of Grade VII (Under 14 category) participated in the 400m freestyle, 200m freestyle, and 200m breaststroke, in which she won a bronze medal; 4 × 100m freestyle relay in which she won a gold medal. Jovanna Pearls Oviya is selected for the National Level Swimming Championship to be held at Odisha in the month of September 2025.

Vivena Maria of Grade VII (Under 14 category) participated in the 50m butterfly, 100m butterfly, and 4 × 100m freestyle relay, in which she won a gold medal. She is selected to play the National Level Swimming Championship to be held at Odisha in the month of September 2025.

Karunya Christy of Grade VII (Under 14 category) participated in the 100m freestyle and 4 × 100m freestyle relay, in which she won a gold medal. She is selected to play the National Level Swimming Championship to be held at Odisha in the month of September 2025.

Gokul Ramnath of Grade XII (Under 17 category) participated in the 400m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 50m backstroke, 100m backstroke, and 200m backstroke. Gokul won the fourth position in 50m backstroke and 100m backstroke.

John Anto of Grade VII (Under 14 category) participated in the 50m breaststroke, 100m breaststroke, 50m backstroke, and 100m backstroke.

Sriman of Grade VI (Under 14 category) participated in the 400m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 100m freestyle, and 50m freestyle.

Kevith Ram of Grade V (Under 11 category) participated in the 50m breaststroke, 100m breaststroke, 100m freestyle, and 200m IM. He won the fourth position in 50m breaststroke and 100m breaststroke.

Lithick of Grade V (Under 11 category) participated in the 50m freestyle, 50m backstroke, and 50m butterfly.

All participants and the coach were appreciated by the Management for their good work.

DISTRICT LEVEL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT FOR BOYS

District Football Association, Tirunelveli conducted District Level Football Tournament for Boys U-10 category in League cum Knockout method. Kings CBSE played against St. Xaviers School and won the first match. The second match was between KINGS and Namma Ooru Global School and won the match. The third match was between Bell School and KINGS and it was a tie. KINGS was qualified for semifinal and lost the match against Meena Sankar Vidyalaya with a score of 3–2. Loser’s final was between Bell School and KINGS and we won the match with a score of 1–10. KINGS bagged the third position in the tournament.

BASKET BALL COMPETITION

Cambridge Group of Schools conducted the first District Level Basketball Tournament for Men category. KINGS CBSE boys represented Colin Basketball Academy. They played against Theerthapathi Higher Secondary School and won the first match with a score of 51–28 and played the match against Nellai Youth and Colin Academy lost the match.

Afzan Levingi Durai won the Best Player award in the tournament.
