Career Guidance

At Kings School, we are committed to guiding students towards informed, confident, and meaningful career choices. Through structured planning and expert support, each learner is given the opportunity to identify strengths, explore possibilities, and maximise potential.

With the guidance of a certified career counsellor, students receive accurate, up-to-date information on university and college programmes, academic requirements, career outcomes, and future opportunities—enabling thoughtful and well-planned decision-making.

Personal Counselling

Every student participates in individual one-on-one counselling sessions with our career counsellor. Over a focused two-month period, the counsellor works closely with each learner to assess strengths, interests, aptitude, and future aspirations. This personalised approach ensures tailored guidance aligned with each student’s goals.

General Career Guidance Programmes

Based on student interests, Kings School regularly invites industry experts, professionals, and subject specialists to interact with students. These sessions provide real-world insights into career paths, professional expectations, and emerging opportunities—bridging the gap between academics and the world beyond school.

Focused Group Career Mentoring

When a group of students share a common career interest, Kings School organises small-group mentoring sessions led by experts from the relevant field. These focused interactions allow students to gain deeper, practical insight into specific career pathways, required skills, academic preparation, and real-world expectations.

By engaging directly with professionals who have walked the path, students receive realistic guidance, clarity of direction, and actionable advice to help them move confidently towards their aspirations. This targeted approach ensures personalised attention while benefiting from peer learning and shared motivation.

Guidance for Parents & Senior Students

At the end of each academic year, Kings School conducts a dedicated career guidance programme for parents and senior students (Grades X and XII), ensuring decisions are made collaboratively and with clarity.

Grade X: Guidance on selecting appropriate academic streams—Science, Commerce, or Humanities
Grade XII: Detailed information on higher education options, courses and universities
In-depth discussions on entrance examinations, scholarships, eligibility criteria and opportunities based on academic performance
A comprehensive overview of colleges and universities, including campus placement prospects

This structured, transparent approach ensures that both parents and students feel informed, supported and confident as they plan for a successful future.
