Welcome to Our Junior school

At Kings Junior School, learning is initiated with care, enthusiasm, and the cultivation of confidence.

Within a secure and nurturing environment, young children explore, inquire, and develop through age-appropriate academics, play, and creative experiences, thereby establishing strong foundations for a successful educational journey.

Practical Lifeskill classes

We cultivate essential life skills in young learners through experiential activities such as bedtime storytelling and mealtime etiquette. These sessions foster confidence, empathy, independence, and social awareness from an early age.

By incorporating practical learning into daily routines, we support each child’s holistic development and establish strong foundations for positive behaviour, emotional intelligence, and lifelong learning.

Bed Time Stories

Our Bedtime Stories sessions establish a calm, comfortable classroom environment with soft lighting and warm blankets. Children listen to carefully selected stories that stimulate imagination, deepen emotional connection, and foster a love for storytelling.

These experiences promote empathy, creativity, and emotional security, ensuring that learning is perceived as safe, enjoyable, and engaging.

At the Dining

Young learners are introduced to grace and courtesy through the ‘At the Dining’ etiquette programme. In a structured setting, children acquire table manners, respectful behaviour, and mindful eating habits, thereby developing social awareness and confidence in daily interactions.

These experiences instil positive habits at an early stage, integrating learning with real-life practice in a calm and supportive environment.

Hands On Activities

From building models to solving puzzles, hands-on activities make learning tangible. Through active participation, students develop creative thinking and collaboration skills, and deepen their understanding of concepts through experiential learning, discovery, and application. These experiences ensure that learning is meaningful, engaging, and enduring.

Classroom Libraries

Each classroom has its own mini-library with a variety of age-appropriate books. This creates a reading-friendly atmosphere and nurtures independent reading habits among students every day.

Competitions

Every child is provided the opportunity to participate and excel. Through curated monthly competitions, we recognise and celebrate creativity, confidence, and curiosity in diverse forms.

Activities such as pencil sketching, clay modelling, mask-making, spelling bees, poem recitation, solo dance, and story narration enable children to explore interests, discover new talents, and develop essential skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.

We encourage participation from all students, ensuring that each child feels included, valued, and supported. Effort, enthusiasm, and progress are acknowledged through certificates and awards, recognising growth as well as achievement.

These experiences foster self-expression, collaboration, and a passion for learning, cultivating a vibrant environment in which children develop confidence and pride.
