Kings Schools International Educational Tour to Malaysia 2026
A Journey of Learning, Exposure and Discovery
Kings Schools successfully organised its first international educational tour to Malaysia, providing students with a unique opportunity to gain global exposure, deepen cultural understanding, and engage in experiential learning beyond the classroom.
The tour, held from 20th April to 24th April 2026, was thoughtfully planned to combine education, exploration and personal development in a safe and student-friendly environment.

Students and staff travelled from Trivandrum to Kuala Lumpur on Malaysian Airlines, experiencing a smooth and comfortable international journey.
Throughout the trip, they gained valuable exposure to international travel procedures, airport systems, and the discipline required for global travel, making it a meaningful learning experience for many students.
π¨ Comfortable Stay
During their time in Kuala Lumpur, students and staff were accommodated at ibis Styles Kuala Lumpur Fraser Business Park, where they enjoyed a comfortable and well-organised stay. The hotel provided a safe and convenient environment, supporting the smooth conduct of the tour.
Each room was shared by two students, with pairings thoughtfully arranged so that older students could support and look after younger ones. This, along with continuous supervision by teachers, ensured a strong sense of responsibility, care and safety throughout the stay.

Students explored Malaysiaβs governance, history, and modern infrastructure, while understanding the importance of discipline, cleanliness, and organised urban living.
The Aquaria visit enhanced awareness of marine life and conservation. The KL Tower experience offered stunning views of both day and night cityscapes, enriching their understanding of urban planning and development.

The visit to Batu Caves introduced students to Malaysiaβs cultural diversity and religious heritage.
At Genting Highlands, students enjoyed a scenic cable car ride and observed the geographical features of hill stations.
In the evening, the visit to Sunway Lagoon Night Theme Park combined recreation with learning about safety systems and crowd management in large public spaces.

A day trip to Malacca helped students understand the region's historical significance. The Melaka River Cruise provided valuable insights into city planning and heritage conservation, connecting the past with the present.
Despite the hot weather, students enthusiastically explored the city on foot and showed great interest in learning about Malacca's rich history. Their curiosity and engagement made the experience even more meaningful.
The group also enjoyed a traditional South Indian-style banana leaf lunch, adding a familiar and enjoyable touch to the day.

Visits to the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre and the Bank Negara Malaysia Museum introduced students to industry, craftsmanship, and economic systems.
The Putrajaya city tour showcased a well-planned administrative capital, helping students understand urban planning, governance, and smart city development.
Students also visited Berjaya Times Square, where they enjoyed shopping for gifts for their families. This experience provided valuable real-life learning in money management, understanding foreign exchange, and basic negotiation skills.

A special highlight of the tour was the mobile/gadget-free approach, which encouraged students to stay fully present, interact more with peers and teachers, and deeply engage with their surroundings.
