Kings School’s Know Your Roots

Kings CBSE School, Pudhur, Vallioor, on 26th February 2026, conducted a special programme titled “Know Your Roots” with great enthusiasm and participation. The objective of the programme was to help students understand the importance of their family roots and to appreciate the love, guidance, and values imparted by parents and grandparents.

The programme commenced with a prayer rendered by the students. The Welcome Address was delivered by the Principal, Mrs. Rincy Jose, who highlighted the significance of strengthening family bonds and honouring our roots.

A heartfelt speech on the love and guidance of grandparents was presented, emphasizing their invaluable role in shaping the younger generation. An emotional skit titled “Searching Our Roots” was performed by the students, portraying the importance of family, traditions, and intergenerational relationships. The performance deeply moved the audience and conveyed a meaningful message.

One of the major highlights of the event was the “Guess the Song” segment, where only the music of songs was played and the audience enthusiastically identified them. The activity filled the auditorium with excitement and joyful participation.

A special attraction of the programme was the Fashion Show presented by parents along with their family members, including four generations. Dressed in traditional attire, the families gracefully walked the ramp, beautifully showcasing unity, heritage, and togetherness.

The guests were honoured with tokens of love by the Chairman, Mr. Colin; Correspondent, Mr. Navamani; the Director, Mrs. Jaya Agnes; the Principal, Mrs. Rincy Jose; and the Vice Principal, Mrs. Palaniammal.

In his special address, the Correspondent, Mr. Navamani, emphasized that relationships are living treasures and that it is our responsibility to preserve and value them. He also highlighted the importance of family bonding and generational unity. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, marking the successful completion of the celebration.

The event stood as a memorable occasion that strengthened intergenerational relationships and reminded everyone of the importance of knowing and cherishing one’s roots.
