Kings School’s “Know Your Roots” – A Celebration of Family and Heritage

Kings CBSE School, Pudhur, Vallioor, hosted the "Know Your Roots" programme on 26 February 2026. The event encouraged students to appreciate the enduring bonds, wisdom, and love shared across generations.

The celebration began with the school prayer, its heartfelt words movingly rendered by the students. The Welcome Address, delivered by the Principal, Mrs. Rincy Jose, resonated with reflections on the warmth of family bonds and the pride in honouring the roots that shape our identity.

A speech on grandparents' wisdom emphasised their essential role in guiding youth. Students presented the skit "Searching Our Roots," which highlighted the value of family traditions and relationships and resonated with the audience.

The "Guess the Song" segment engaged the audience as they identified instrumental tunes, creating excitement and laughter.

The Fashion Show featured parents and family members from four generations. Dressed in traditional attire, families walked the ramp, symbolising unity, heritage, and togetherness.

Chairman Mr. Colin, Correspondent Mr. Navamani, Director Mrs. Jaya Agnes, Principal Mrs. Rincy Jose, and Vice Principal Mrs. Palaniammal presented tokens of appreciation to the honored guests.

Correspondent Mr. Navamani emphasised that relationships are treasures to be nurtured. He highlighted family bonding and generational unity as foundations for a strong, value-driven society.

A heartfelt Vote of Thanks concluded the celebration.

The event strengthened intergenerational bonds and renewed appreciation for knowing and respecting one’s roots.
