The Dakshin Sahodaya Schools Complex conducted Inter School Basketball Tournament along with Kings School on 22nd November 2023. CBSE Schools from Kanyakumari, Nagercoil & Tirunelveli participated in this competition.
In this tournament, Seventeen Schools participated with 430 competitors. The tournament was played in six different categories – Under 14 boys and girls, Under 17 boys and girls, Under 19 boys and girls. Kings Schools team participated in all the above categories.
In the Under 14 Boys category, Kings School played against St. Joseph School, Manavalakurichi and won the match with a score of 24:4. The semi-finals was played against St. Marys School, Kanyakumari and we won with a score of 26:7. The final match was played with St. Joseph Calasanz, Kanyakumari and we won with a score of 18:4
In the Under 17 category Boys, Kings School played against The Rajas International School, Nagercoil and we won with a score of 38:6. The semi-finals was played against Johns Central School, Angigramam and we won with a score of 40:24. The finals were played against St. MART School, Mariyagiri and won with a score of 26:7.
In the under 19 Boys category, Kings School played against St. Joseph Calasanz and we lost with a score of 21:24.
In the Under 14 girls category, Kings School played against Amirtha Vidhyalaya, Kanniyakumari and we won with a score of 10:2. The quarter finals was played against The Packianath Public School, Kattathurai, and lost the match with a score of 4:28.
In the under 17 girls category, Kings School played in semi-finals against Thrayambika Vidya Mandir, Kulasekaram and we won the match with a score of 16:4. We played the finals against Alagar Public School, Tuticorin and won the match with a score of 21:3
In the under 19 girls category, Kings School played the finals against Kamlavathi Senior Secondary School, Tiruchendur and won the match with a score of 15:8.
