KINGS SCHOOL STUDENTS ENTER THE NATIONAL SWIMMING COMPETITION

South Zone Swimming Competition

The CBSE South Zone Swimming Competition was held between 20 – 22nd October at SSVM School, Mettapalayam, Coimbatore. 412 schools from six states participated with 4000 students.

Fourteen students (6 boys, 8 girls) from Kings School competed in this competition.

James Bevan of Grade 11 won a Gold medal in 50 metre free style; Silver medal in 100 metre freestyle, and another Silver medal in 100 metre breast stroke. He is selected to swim the National Swimming Competition to be held on 7th November at Haryana.

Boomika, Densika and Charvi Sarayu of Class 6 and Amala Christy of Class 7 won a Silver medal in 4 * 100 metre medley relay. The four girls are selected for the National Swimming competition to be held on 7th November at Haryana.

Karunya Christy, Jovanna Pearls Oviya, Vivena Maria of Class 5 and Maglina of Class 6 won Silver medal in 4 * 50 metre freestyle relay. They are selected to compete in the National Swimming Competition on 7th November at Haryana.

All the students are appreciated by the Chairman Uncle Colin, Correspondent Mr J Navamani, Director Mrs Jeya Agnes, Principal Mrs Sahaya Mary, Non- Academics Deputy Principal Mr Joshua and Coach Mr. Antony & Mrs. Mary Vijilet.
