Kings School, CBSE celebrated the Annual Sports Day
Kings School, CBSE celebrated the most awaited event, ‘The Sports Day’ on Thursday, 18th August. The Principal, Mrs Sahaya Mary welcomed the gathering and informed that the Sports Day is a day where students love to show their sporting talents. The invited chief guest Mr R Yogesh Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vallioor, inaugurated the event by hoisting the National Flag. The school flag and sports flag was hoisted by the Chairman, Uncle Colin and Correspondent Mr J Navamani. Mr Yogesh Kumar, in his speech encouraged the students to participate in sporting activities and keep themselves fit. The Correspondent, Mr Navamani in his speech informed that Mr Yogesh Kumar is an inspiration to the young students and welcomed Mrs. Radha, the President of Vallioor Town Panchayat, who also witnessed the programme and all the parents who were present. The Olympic Torch was lighted and Oath was taken by the four captains followed by all participants.
Various events for the Junior, Middle, Senior and Super Senior School students were conducted and the winners of the first events were eligible to participate in the second events. Games like Football, Volleyball, Throw ball, Swimming and Basketball matches were held along with Athletic events.
The winners of the events were awarded by parents and the fellow students encouraged their friends to win points for their house.
Finally, the Prize Distribution ceremony was held and Kosi house won the First place with a score of 407, and Ganga House won the second place with a score of 332 points house was announced as the winner of Overall Championship and was awarded with the shield.
The vote of thanks was given by the Deputy Principal, Mr Joshua and the day came to an end with everyone singing the National Anthem.
